Hace unos meses, me
inscribí a clases de natación. A lo largo del proceso de inscripción, se me
preguntó –varias veces- si sabía nadar. Sin el menor asomo de duda contesté, en
todas las ocasiones, afirmativamente. Así pues, se llegó
el día de mi primer clase y yo estaba lista, a la orilla de la alberca,
vistiendo mi traje de baño, gorra y goggles; el maestro se me acercó para
preguntarme –una vez más- si sabía nadar, le dije que sí. Entonces me preguntó

A few months ago, I signed up for swimming lessons.
Throughout the registration process I was asked –many times- if I knew how to
swim. Without a shadow of a doubt, I answered affirmatively to all of them. So, my first class came and I felt ready. Having
on my swimming suit, goggles, and cap, I was approached by my instructor, who
asked –again- if I knew how to swim. I said "yes". Then he asked me when was

The Earth is sick. Although the benefits of biodiversity have been proven, species are disappearing at an alarming rate, but the most threaten specie of all is mankind.In round numbers there are 7 billion people in the world, of which 925 million people worldwide suffer from chronic hunger. 13.1 percent, or almost 1 in 7 people are hungry. And even though the world produces enough food to feed everyone (world agriculture produces 17 percent more calories per person today than it did 30 years ago...
