Who needs leadership?
Article by Marti Cleveland-Innes.
Across the globe in the last decades, pervasive technology and notable socio-economic dynamism have changed our society. This change has made it increasingly difficult for education to operate in insular ways; attention to changing demographics, global economies, new social mores and new information and communication technologies is vitally important. week30 April 9, 2012 [Link]

Week 28: Tony Hirst and my lack of infoskills 2.012 #change11
lucky, LEARNING RETENTION
I was determined to walk away with something from Week 28: Dr.Tony Hirst on Infoskills 2.012. Not knowing anything about analytics, visualization spaces or creating mash-ups, I was left with looking at "Making the most of Google". I must say I marveled at all the visual representation of data analysis. It's not about time trying [...] [Link]

Week 29: Dr. Alec Couros on digital citizenship and integrity #change11
lucky, LEARNING RETENTION
Dr. Alec Couros in Week 29's session presented his views on digital citizenship and literacies, a concept also discussed by Howard Rheingold in week 17. The need for digital citizenship was born out of concerns for cyber-safety: censorship for the safety of our children amongst fears of predators and unsuitable content. Despite fear being the [...] [Link]

Aprendiendo una lección
, Con sabor educativo
Hace unos meses, me
Entonces me preguntó
que cuándo había .... [Link]

Learning a lesson
, Con sabor educativo

Throughout the registration process I was asked –many times- if I knew how to
swim. Without a shadow of a doubt, I answered affirmatively to all of them. So, my first class came and I felt ready. Having
on my swimming suit, goggles, and cap, I was approached by my instructor, who
asked –again- if I knew how to swim. I said "yes". Then he asked me when was
the last time that I swam, I couldn't remember precisely. ".... [Link]

Week 27: Antonio Vantaggiato’s 99 slides #change11
lucky, LEARNING RETENTION
Antonio Vantaggiato presented week 27 "Myths of Teaching and Learning and Technology" explaining the misconceptions related to technology, education, Web 2.0 and E-Learning 2.0. The session opened with Antonio Vantaggiato discussing how language lends itself to being one of the major constraints that limits us in what we say, how we say it and how [...] [Link]

Suburbs, kids
